My role is to walk beside you as we make sense of what may be the root of the problem.

I am passionate about the benefits of therapy and the life changing impact therapy can provide you.

I am a professional and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor, who provides individual therapy. I am qualified to offer both brief focused and open-ended support tailored to your needs. I work with teenagers, young adults, adults and older adults.

I am a Member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy). Registered Number 395277. This registration ensures that I meet high standards of proficiency, professionalism and ethical practice. I commit and adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework and Professional Code of Conduct.

My foundation of training is in Psychodynamic Counselling , accredited by the BACP. I work predominately in a Psychodynamic way, which means that I offer a trusting and accepting relationship to my clients as a key aspect of the work. It allows my clients to explore past experiences, including early years and the unconscious mind in order to bring about positive change. The past can affect how we feel in the present day, and help make sense of why we are the way we are.

I have also undergone further training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), as sometimes the focus needs to be on the current problem. I can offer tools and techniques for my clients to use.

I am qualified to carry out Clinical Assessments, which I offer as an initial consultation session. This allows for me to recommend whether working together would be positive therapeutic experience. I can also make recommendations to other therapists or other types of support should this be a better fit.

Having undergone training in Play Therapy training, I have experience working within a school environment. I am DBS checked.

I have written a published blog for the Brighton Therapy Partnership, who offer Continuing Professional Development and training events for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. My article explores Narcissism and the impact of being in a narcissistic relationship.

I am also a qualified Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. I strongly believe in the collaboration of physical and mental health as a means of a holistic therapeutic well-being.

Previous to re training as a psychotherapist and counsellor, I spent many years working in the financial and insurance industry, both in customer facing and business to business roles. I have gained many transferable skills of working with a range of personalities from trainees to directors. I have personal experience of the demands of balancing a home and city life which has added value when working with my professional clients and family members.
